Mountain Safety Collective welcomes Arc’teryx as our Signature Sponsor

Mountain Safety Collective (MSC) has always enjoyed close collaboration with Arc’teryx, but until now it’s been pretty casual, kinda like a couple of old friends hanging out for a day in the mountains. But today, we’re very pleased to announce that the relationship has matured to the point we can welcome Arc’teryx as our official Signature Sponsor, and in the same breath, the founding partner in MSC’s new sponsorship program!

MSC was founded to equip the Australian community with the knowledge and data to make good decisions when venturing into the backcountry, and Arc’teryx makes the gear to ensure you stay safe and comfortable once you’re out there. This practical alignment between MSC and Arc’teryx is enhanced by our shared focus on sustainability and care for our fragile environment.

So, what does this Signature Sponsorship mean for MSC and Arc’teryx? For starters, it provides an initial three years of funding to ensure the sustainability of MSC’s existing programs, along with opportunities to expand initiatives that we’ve solely relied on the goodwill of volunteers for until now. In recognition of this, you’ll start seeing us refer to MSC as “Mountain Safety Collective, supported by Arc’teryx”. We’ll also be actively sharing knowledge to ensure everyone stays safe in the backcountry, whether it’s online, through community information nights or out in the field. MSC will play a supporting role when Arc’teryx is out shooting content with their athletes in the backcountry, providing pre-trip safety planning and hazard forecasting. Of course, for the backcountry community it means there’ll be fun stuff like meetups, giveaways and special offers for MSC members on a wide range of Arc’teryx product.
