Conditions Summary

There is a mixed bag in the mountains currently.

In the alpine, there may be wind slabs in isolated lee features from NW winds, and storm slabs on all aspects. The storm has so far delivered 45cm. Yesterday the new snow was dense and a bit of work, both on the uphill and riding down. In the sub-alpine there are many rocks, bushes and sinkholes to avoid but the improved cover has meant you can now pick your way through to higher elevations.

Good visibility is needed for safe travel.

We need your eyes too. If you’ve been touring in the Kosciuszko National Park we’d love to know what you have seen. Every little bit helps.
