Regional Outlook:
The storm of the past several days has moved out of the area and today we should see increased visibility in the alpine.

Terrain and travel advice
A warmer day yesterday has helped settle the new snow and it is becoming more supportive for travel. That said, in the subalpine, shallow areas were still collapsing particularly over bushes.
Daily Discussion
A crust exists above 1900m and there is likely isolated wind slab development in the alpine sitting on this layer. If venturing into the alpine, carefully evaluate the snow and terrain and identify wind loaded features of concern.
Please remember, it is early season conditions and the snow cover is marginal. More snow will come… be patient.
We need your eyes too. If you’ve been touring in the Alpine National Park we’d love to know what you have seen. Every little bit helps.
